Manawa is Hawaiian for ‘Time’.
The saying goes, “Time is money.”
But if you believe that, you don’t understand either one. Because you can always make up for lost money. It gets earned and exhausted over and over. Time spent is gone forever. I’m spending this weekend in Hawaii with Mayumi and Summy.
“It is not that we have a short space of time, but that we waste much of it.
Life is long enough, and it has been given in sufficiently generous measure to allow the accomplishment of the very greatest things if the whole of it is well invested.”*
*From my favorite of Seneca‘s letters, “On The Shortness of Life.”
